wear tons of dark eyeliner, don't go out in the sun (stay pale), wear dark colors and anything with skulls and crossbones, get a pair of chucks (converse canvas sneakers), get a choppy haircut with bangs that fall over your face, paint your fingernails black, etc. if you want to look emo go to hot topic.... a lot of what they sell there is very emo.

Straighten your hair, get lots of hair extensions (if you can) %26amp; use lots of hairspray to make your hair voluminous. (Get side swept bangs too) Tease it with a comb/ use a blowdryer too. Wear lots of colorful, striped, or polka dotted clothes %26amp; they don't have to match. And, wear armwarmers and leggings. For shoes, wear converse %26amp; ballet flats. Also wear lots of hair accessories such as kid hair bows, hair clips, %26amp; hairbands.. And Hello Kitty or Gloomy Bear jewelry.

black and red are good colors to wear. ties, converse shoes, get bangs that sweep across your forhead. wear thick eyeliner and a lot of powder.

converse are ok but have to be dark or just really worn looking

leg-warmers and arm-warmers [when you dont wear a jacket of course]

its really in how you pull it all off though, you dont have to wear just those things put a little variation into it and it can be your own emo style which is really the whole point
