okay I have had long hair all of my life.

I recently got into the whole "emo" look and now my hair regrets it.

I have MAJOR layers and a hair type bang thing..I think it's called a fringe (where you pull hair down from the top layers to make bangs)

and my length is still down the my hips but everyone thing it's extensions.

ok the real question!

what can I do to make my hair more natural looking? I'm out of the emo hairstyle thing and I love preppy hairstyles.

so what can I do to save my hair from turmoil?!(A.K.A what kinda haircut should I get)

since you have too many layers now and you cant change it.....

so, the best solution is to go bit shorter in overall lenght.

plus keep hair very straight because some layers in back ill blend this way

or proper curly, cos it will give volume all over and still look balance

wavy is not an option for you because in this case ur hair will be too big on top and very thin on bottom....

Red is beautiful colour, but u might want to experience new colour ith this new style, so howw about if you opt for more common hair colour such as brown for you this hair style

all you have to do is cut the longest layer like 4 or 5 more inches to look more natural.

Go to google and search under Google Images for "emo hair". You will get an overwhelming amount of pictures to choose from. Print a couple out and take them into your stylist (a different one from before LoL) - any good hairdresser would know what to do after looking at multiple pictures.

This is exactly what I did the other day - and hey, if you're not "emo" don't let the name throw you off - it's just a hairstyle! I'm not emo, and I love my new cut!

Well maybe not as thick as that sounded I think. When my hair was longer(current hairstyle is simailar to my yahoo avatar), when it was and always was in a ponytail, the diameter was probaly 1.5 to 2 inches thick I recall.

Honestly, it doesn't matter if your hair is too thick because they can thin it to make it work. The question is if your hair is too fine. That is what would be difficult with this style. I think its super cute though!

I am growing my hair out for an emo/punk hairstyle, but i have had long hair before and i have very thick hair. I need to make it thinner permanently, which i know is probably impossible. But i need to make it appear a lot thinner while i am growing it out. I used to have very short, spikey hair and so i have a while to go. I want it to reach my nose or lower when right now it is only at my eyebrow and already it is very thick.

it's not impossible. you can buy a pair of thinning shears for under $20. they have a blade that looks ridged and they cut every other hair without changing the length. they are easy to use, you can't mess it up really.

some hair places will have this as part of your haircut, depending on where you live, and others will look at you like you're crazy (if you live somewhere where everyone has light, thin, sparse hair, ahem, not saying where but take a guess) and tell you it's impossible

When you do get your hair cut ask them you'd like to get your hair thinned. They'll know what you mean, and the style you're aiming for. Well Nicole Kidman has strawberry blonde hair (not really orange) in that movie and I personally love that color. Since you already have blonde hair it wont look wierd. I say go for it! It will probably look super good and if not there is always color correction OOPS! at walgreens!

well....u definitely have to use a hair straightener to achieve this look. buy a powerful one for hard to straighten hair. you can put a straightening spray in it after you straighten it to keep it straight until you wash it.i suggest using TIGI BED HEAD straightening spray to hold the look..to keep it straight

You have two options.

First you can have your stylist thin your hair out,and staight iron it. Or you can have your stylist put a straightner in it. The cost depends on the length of your hair. But both do work!!

All kids rebel and go through different phases, there's nothing wrong with it, it's just a way of expressing their individuality so they can grow and discover who they are.

If it's the Emo look, so be it. you may not like, but stifling your child's growth as an individual is much worse.
